Chiropractic prior to pregnancy
Chiropractic prior to pregnancy promotes a healthier pregnancy, easier delivery and a safe transition for baby into this world!
Dr. Mary specializes in prenatal and postnatal chiropractic care for women. Dr. Mary has been specially trained to see women during all stages of pregnancy.
Special modifications to the adjustments are made to avoid unnecessary pressure on the abdomen, and promote the body’s ability to carry and deliver a baby with much more comfort.
Chiropractic care can contribute to optimal fetal position in the womb. The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association recommends pregnant women receive chiropractic care throughout pregnancy to achieve pelvic balance, giving babies a better chance of moving into an ideal position for birth.
Dr. Mary’s role in prenatal care is to ensure balance in a pregnant woman’s body, which will help the fetus in achieving an ideal position for birth. Optimal baby position at the time of birth also results in an easier labor and thus safer delivery for both mother and baby. Dr. Mary is trained in the Webster Technique, which has been shown to allow for optimal pelvic alignment during pregnancy by correcting sacral subluxation.
